Zoom More info The best Chevette 'Chris(not)' ever had - it cost him £50 @ 42,000 miles and was subsequently used as the 'not' family workhorse for around four years. The car towed a caravan to the Black Forest and to Cornwall but is shown here in sunny Brittany after a less tiring haul of a trailer tent. Contributed by chris(not) Added by Shellysowner |
Zoom More info Chris (not) says: Browsing through the Kadetts I thought Caravans were somewhat under represented, so here's a shot of one I had as a temporary runabout in the early 90's. The engine was so knackered it wouldn't tickover in drive (yes it was automatic too) and it had to knocked into neutral every time I stopped. It was a 1.2S but rice pudding skins were perfectly safe! I finally sold (most of) it (!) still road legal after about two years. The high back seats lived on in two subsequent Chevettes I had. Contributed by chris(not) Added by shellysowner |
