Side pipes!

Postby Doive » 23 Nov 2004, 19:28

I've got a nice subtle side pipe, came off a 2.5 transit, and no, I didn't fit it. It's coming off as soon as I get a hundred quid to buy a proper exhaust. see it on the website under 'Kadett'!

I used to have a Mk3 Cortina (don`t hate me for it) GLX I think, the one with the wood kit, with Wolfrace slotmags & a pair of Cobra sidepipes.
Only the offside one was piped up though `cos it had a 4 cyl block, so only 1 exhaust!

I was only a spotty youff then though, so didn`t know how to make both pipes blow blue smoke

Oh & fluffy Dice, which I still have & are in my Chevette!!

How many other people have Furry Dice in their motors?

Sidepipes

Postby Keith » 25 Nov 2004, 22:17

OOOOOWHEEE
Begining to think I was the only one that existed in the era our babies was born, Don't worry Neily I had one too and I aint ashamed MK 3s is COOL COOL COOL , Al Fishwicks Green one was bitchin, OK so it was loadsa years ago but that's what brings it all back, cars was personal which is why we is now driving round in unmassproduced ( now) motors cos we is individuals and we can do whats we wants to them without worrying about depreciation etc. Yea my Pug turbo diesel is great cross country and round town but its Smiles per gallon factor is zero compared to the shuvit. The shuvit is presently minus engine and box and is sitting up like the meanest street racer that was ever born , if I can keep it like that I'll be as happy as a pig in the proverbial. Aint bothered if it'll only do 90 as long as it gets there in 3 seconds dead (or less)(dreaming again). SO lets bring back ( for those who want ) furry dice (got them) side pipes , louvres, metal flake paint, padded dralon, bonnet scoops, frenched lights etc OK so the shuvit has a great rally pedigree but lets not lose sight of the fact that on the roads its fun fun fun.

OK so that's the soapbox bit over and with no mention of black , flames etc so is anybody else out there mad as me and wanting to build a modified streeter rather than a rally copy or should Ijust go and lie down in a dark rooom and dream of what was and what could be BWAAAHHH

Fluffy dice, whiteband trims.

Postby Shellysowner » 08 Jan 2005, 02:01

I've got 'em. Black with white dots and only 99p on ebay (and they have no scent).

I also have/had whiteband tyre trims (£38 inc p&p the set!) which looked really cool with stock wheels painted black and nicely polished stock chrome caps but they don't like staying under the beads and have become damaged so I've had to take 'em off. Anyone else had any luck?
