Postby Shellysowner » 07 Feb 2007, 13:41

After the recent success of our sticker order I am pleased to be able to offer Chevettes.com stickers on a permanent basis.

The stickers consist of individual vinly lettering aligned on the appropriate backing for easy application and are for the inside of your windows, although can also be produced for the outside.

They are available in any colour at £2 each.

I can place an order every time 10 stickers are requested, so if you'd like some then post your requirements below.

I've just received a request for some stickers by PM. Would anyone else like any?

Can one be made upside down to be applied to the exterior of a window? In a light blue color?

Need one for my van, and the windows are darkened in the sides and back.

Upside down? It can be made for external application, not so sure about the upside down bit. How do you mean exactly? Light blue is fine.

I think Chris means flipped so it read backwards so the stick side is on the back of the letters not on the front.

Yep ---> With the adhesive on the other side (of the sticker) is what I meant.

Need to stick it to the the outside of the windows. 8)

as much as I'd love to order some for the outside of the car, I know I'd never be able to keep them on the outside of the windows, in this land of snow and freezing rain...

I FINALLY got two of the stickers I ordred last time onto the Beast, and the back one looks really spiffy, but the one in front doesn't show much through the blue strip in the windshield and I'm not sure where else I'd want to put it... I think I may redo the window tinting in the little triangular back windows and put the other pair of stickers there before I reapply the tint... although at this rate it'll be another year before I get to it...

Bah, I forgot about that! I've had snow "relocate" a vynal dragon sticker on a chevette window before.

When I tinted the back window of the diesel (no defroster, or 3rd brake light) I put the sticker on before the tint and it looks real nice. The van has factory tint on the rear window, so I can't do that.

Cancel my request for modified sticker! Unless you've already got them made. I just had an idea! (while making this post) :

I know a local shop that makes vynal lettering and such, so if there is no issue, I can get a vynal stencil made locally, and paint it onto the glass.

From sticker runs on various other forums I frequent, I would say that £2 each is the going rate - in fact most fora charge more per sticker than chevettes.com does. It's a question of suppliers, and how much they charge per unit. What they charge us is exactly what you pay, therefore I suggest making them bigger would increase costs. I find it hard to believe you can get a whole sun strip made up for £2, but maybe you can.

I know on UKSaabs people are talking about getting sill stickers made up, and the supplier is looking a whole lot of cash for each of those. Their standard window stickers are coming in at £3 each. If your supplier is charging £2 for such a large item, then I suggest they aren't making very much money, or else they are doing it as a favour for you.
