Desperately Wanted!!!!

Postby Galgeth » 17 May 2006, 20:44

Owing to the lack of response to my earlier thread: http://www.chevettes.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11429

I have now upgraded my situation to desperate and have resorted to pleading! I am still searching for a 2 door chevette saloon to start my project. I will now travel far and wide for the right car! My brother (chevetteadam) is powering away with his hatchback castrol replica and I am left seriously wanting! I nearly gave in and bought a hatch but in the end I just couldn’t bring myself to have the same car as him! :(

I hope this tale of woe will strike a chord with all you 2 door saloon owners and one of you will take pity on me and surrender your car to a good cause! :D

I can assure any potential donors that your car will not be butchered, but given a new lease of life, with some uprated running gear and a satisfying 2ltr fiat mirafouri TC under the bonnet!

Can anyone help me???

Kind Regards

Unfortunately I wasn’t a member of the forum when nate was trying to sell his car! I did subsequently find his threads and was in email contact with him. However he seems to have vanished and is not replying to my emails???

I have an engine and box, but has been stood for over 8 years! Was filled with oil but the core plug on the gear box leaked and it emptied itself sometime over the last 5 years! I cant get to it to see if its ok because it is burried at the back of the shed. Even so, I would still be interested in another engine if you know of one? I would also be very interested in an 1800 fiat twin cam for hillclimbing if you know of one? This would allow me to compete in a lower class and not run with the big boys!!!

You can get me on here too ;)

PM me or email chris {AT} chrisbray [dot] co (dot) uk

I didn't want to post the for-sale thread on here as my first thread as I genuinely didn't join just to sell the car!

It really is one of the cleanest Chevettes I've ever seen...

It really is, I just wish I had the time and space to enjoy it. Since the crash I just need the space :(

Here's some pics of the underside... Not great pictures cos they were taken with a cameraphone, but you can see, it's as clean underneath as it is on top...

Yes, thanks Dom for the tip off!

I am still after 2 door saloons if anyone else comes across any! I am not being greedy, and not gonna break them either (unless that is all they are fit for). Prophets car is too good to go racing in and so will become my weekend warrior! I am in negotiations on another chevette saloon and will wait and see where that goes!

Thank you all for your help so far!

This text comfirms the fact that directly above this is a line

Most likely yes. That will make 4 in total I own. Combined with my brothers cars that will make 7 cars at home!

3x hatches
1x 5 door saloon
3x 2 door saloons

When they are all back there I will line them up and take some pictures.
