ARB links are on Fleabay all the time

I may have an ashtray, I'll look

Rubbers try Woolies or another classic car trim bits supplier, if you want new - won't have the Chevette ones but should have the same profile. Same applies to weatherstrip.

I'll probably have a battery strap out of that Kadett when I pick it up, but you should be able to get one at a motorist discount centre or similar.

Do you mean a rubber strap that goes over the battery or it that just how the bracket is described?

You could buy universal weather strips but they wont curve up at the front of the door.

thanks guys, i mean whatever secures the battery isnt there, i thought from memory it was a metal strip with wing nuts at each end?

Woolies dont do weatherstrip that works, i have had samples from several companies and none seem to fit. i guess if i cant get secondhand i'll go to dr manta for new ones but they're expensive

Do you have the later kadett with indicators on the side like mk2 cavs & novas etc?

If yes that plastic grille is hideous, could you not use a metal one from earlier kadetts/chevettes

If you mean the grille at the front, it's lovely looking.

If you mean the flaps at the sides, they too are very nice. My chevette has those.

Tim, there is a bloke on ebay breaking an 83 saloon, give him a try.

The earlier kadetts had the metal vents. Not sure if the chevettes every had, I've only ever seen plastic vents on a chevette.

I`ve got 1 somewhere, I`ll have a root!

You can make one from 2 lengths of 6mm threaded bar & a lump of alloy angle.

I thought chevettes had the metal flaps aswell, each to there own but i find the metal ones more attractive than chep plastic ones. A plastic flap was on that kadett i tore apart at the scrapyard i thought it was a dodgy add on.

I have those plastic dash vents your after.

I have to agree with Nutty - I much prefer the body-colour metal 'vents'/flaps!

Did you ever manage to get any C pillar vents Tim? Here are some metal ones. Are there any other bits you're still short of?
