Chevannes are not dead

Postby shedmonster » 08 Jul 2005, 22:12

Has anyone else got a Chevanne? I found mine in the local ad trader last april and put it on the road last august (four months of welding :)), since then it's been my work van and gets driven six days a week. Everyone who sees it comments, I never see any others, even at shows or in mags (except the yellow mk2 from the BOC) Mine is a 1979 V reg pre facelift, I reckon it might be the last pre facelift chevanne on the road. Anyone know different?

There is one other guy on here with a Chevanne, 2.0 omega motored no less. Dunno what year though. I'm very jealous as I've always wanted a chevanne and went to the extent of actually begging a scrappy for one that he had. Apparently he also had a Police contract to destroy it so no cigar. Glad to hear their not dead though :D and an extra special welcome to the forum!

Ha- old thread comeback. But have to say- sweet colour! :D
NZ desperately needs more immigration and fresh blood. Our eyes are getting far too close together!
