Mad traffic!

Postby djm » 04 Mar 2005, 10:44

Woah, the site had the busiest month ever in February! We had 11GB of traffic and just under 300,000 page views! All that for little ol' chevettes!

Yeah, y'know I reckon chevettes are becoming increasingly popular of late. The other day I even managed to impress a girl with the fact that I owned one so things must be on the up!

The forum does earn a small amount from the ads at the top of the page, it helps pay for the webspace & server.
Everytime someone `clicks` an ad, it earns £0.06p......not a lot, but every little helps......so get `clicking`!!! :P

My initial thoughts were the same Tim - we appear to be competing for the highest post count! Must admit I have been extremely busy the last month or so, and haven't been getting on as much as I would like (as if once a day wasn't enough). I tell you it's addictive this forum!

The figures make very impressive reading indeed, and hopefully the steady trickle of new members will continue from the UK, US, Canada, New Zealand and Grenada! Apparently there are four Chevettes in Grenada, I'd love to have the other three owners on here. Well done everyone and keep up the posts.

Well, she wasn't all that impressed. How do you mean in relation to 'chavette' exactly?

See, its posts like that getting your count up. You're doing it on purpose aren't you??!

Was on my way out of church tonight and walked over to the car. Opened the passenger's door to open the driver's door (knackered lock and I can't be ar$ed fixing it) when I spotted one of the other guys beelining for me. It was one of those 'Is this your car?!' moments. He had a good look round her and said she looks very sweet - good job it was dark, he never spotted the holes in the arches!

It also seems my rust killing reputation has spread, as he asked me to help him sort some rust on his N reg Escort. So some people think chevettes are cool - my minister even made a comment on how stylish the car is, and he's an ageing hippy!

lol, i saw a guy get off the motorway the other day and followed him for about 8 miles to a petrol station forecourt, where i politely asked him about his chevette. he seeme dto think i was slightly mad but was chatty enough and told me it was his grans and he was doing it up for her on th ebasis that he would have it in the future. Then ensued some half an hour of looking under his bonnet and pointign out little things here and there.

when i say 'doing it up' it was absolutely mint! low mileage, paintwork was a faded mushy pea green and not a spot of rust.
