The 2006 Chevettes.com National Event

Postby Shellysowner » 17 Mar 2006, 21:18

ENTRIES CLOSED!!!! You can still turn up on any of the days though but no guarentees about camping. If you are intending to do this please PM me. Shellysowner.

People of Chevettes.com - may I present the innaugural Chevettes.com National.

The event will take place on the 15th, 16th and 17th September 2006 at Dodwell Park Caravan and Camping Site, Evesham Road, Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire.

Itinerary:

Friday 15th Sept.

Everyone should arrive at the campsite in the early evening or as soon as possible after work where there will be a meet and greet plus craic long into the night in our very own gazebo.

Saturday 16th Sept.

After breakfast we will leave for the Heritage Motor Centre at Gaydon where we have reserved parking and discounted entry. Upon returning to the campsite there will be a short break and then a cruise around local beauty spots via a pub for the evening meal and then back to the campsite again for fun/frolicks.

Sunday 17th Sept.

In the morning after everyone has had time to up-camp the group will make the short drive to Shakespeare County Raceway for the Hot Rod Drags where once more we will have reserved parking and discounted entry. As the racing finishes the national event will draw to a close for 2006 leaving everyone to wend their happy way home :)

Anyone who may be reading this who is not a member of the forum, but a member of COG, the Cavette club or the DSG is also welcome.

Please note - this is a non-profit making event and neither Chevettes.com or any of its staff will recieve one single penny of the entry fees.

Excellent work Ralph, many thanks for doing all the donkey work for this one. I'm well up for this event, really looking forward to seeing round Gaydon. I reckon for 4 quid each both the karting and the 4x4 course would be a right laugh - a day spent doing either of these would cost £££s, a taster for 4 quid sounds good to me.

Count me in, I'll get a deposit off to you, and I'll make sure to take the friday off work.

Right, I've now added an entry form to the first post in this thread (apologies to those who've already entered without the use of this - it's my fault, I'm lazy).

Also as if you needed any additional incentive to turn up did I mention I will be bringing my CO meter along and offering free tune-ups?

I've deleted the poll because it turns out we can actually choose individually what activities we'd like to partake of - just specify on your entry form and add £4 to the final entry price for each one. Sorted :D

Right - I can now say that the final price of the event will be between £47 and £53 based on one person bringing their own tent and one car, excluding Gaydon activities (£4 per activity).

Obviously it will make entries cheaper if people share a tent (£12 per person cheaper) BUT if you plan to bring more than one car per entry (tent) then I may have to levy a charge for the additional vehicle - depending on what sorts of entries we get.

Basic barbeque food is of course included in the price but please feel free to bring any more exotic items along.

Caravans are most welcome at an additional charge of £3 for the weekend. (this is for the electric hook-up).

If 3 are more people are planning on sharing a tent (cheers for making my life complicated) then please email me with your requirements.

I think thats it for now - please get entering as the more entries I have, the less of a headache it is for me to organise. I'll even make the £10 deposit refundable until 1st June.

The price is the same unless you have the hook-up, in which case it's £3 extra for the 2 nights.

Errr... well I don't know exactly - about £50 if you want to do both activities at gaydon (I seem to remember you having both boxes ticked on your entry form).

NZ desperately needs more immigration and fresh blood. Our eyes are getting far too close together!
