Gemeni vs Chevettes (southern hemisphere thread again)

Postby Guest » 10 May 2005, 08:03

Is it just me or do gemini's look tons better than chevettes, kadettes or wateva else.
My gemini (im not trying to brag) is always looked at when i drive it. Usually by bogans but it is a good looking car. I hate the differnet grill they put on the chevette. :x

Yes, it's just you... all the GM T-cars have their own appeal.

The later geminis look bland and uninspiring. GM tried to mate a mk2 cavalier front and rear look onto a chevette centre section with precisely no success. For my money I'd have a chevette every time.

gemini

Postby Guest » 10 May 2005, 23:50

I still say gemini's are better. Mabe its because i see gemy's every day and you see chevetts. I have the mk2 with chrome bumpers and I think that looks better than the mk1

Errm.... "bogan" ?

Sounds fairly uncomplimentary but it's a bit of (Australian?) slang I've not heard before.

Definition, anyone?

FROM GOOGLE + one of my best mate`s an Aussie!>>>>>>>>>>>

Bogan is a derogatory Australian slang term for somebody who is perceived as being an unfashionable "lower-class" person, typically of British Isles ancestry and living in deprived urban areas. The term originated in Melbourne.

Now that`s rich coming from someone desended from all the Scumbags & Thieving Chavs that were thrown out of the British Isles & deported to Australia all those years ago isn`t it?!

Now I suggest Mr Dagwood curbs his enthusiasm for slagging of people & their cars on this forum, otherwise I shall be hitting the `Ban User`button. That`s 2 strikes Mate, we dont need figjam`s on here!

sorry man. I didn't mean it as a critism. I would probably call myself a bogan because of the things i do and where i live after reading that terminology thanks to neilyman.

Sorry for any inconvienience

No. Admins usually have 'Site Admin' or similar above thier avatar, flashy lights and have their name highlighted in orange at the bottom of the forum index page when they are signed in.

Yeah, Steve isn't an admin becasue he'd use his 'power' to play practical jokes on Neily... and personally I don't want to see the results of a Steve and Neily adminning war - could change the face of Chevettes.com forever!
