Can somebody please tell me how to install plugins and extensions to Firefox.

I click on the link to install, its says Software Installation has been disabled, ok. I click the handy Edit Options box it shows, but what do i check/uncheck?

The most obvious box is next to "Warn me when websites try to install extensions or themes", but checked or unchecked it ain't happening!

I think i've done it before, but its driving my insane not being able to add plugins :(

Have you tried the usual 'Tools - Extensions - Get More Extensions' route?

I must confess I've never encountered this problem before...

I had this, I can't remember what to do but I found the answer in the Firefox knowledge base (or possibly the help forums) - try looking there.
