Mk1 Fiesta **Loads of Pics**

Postby Chevette_Rwd_Beast » 02 Nov 2006, 18:26

I thought I'd post up some pics of my other pride and joy :D didn't want to post it in members cars since its not a shuv-it, any heres some pics and spec...

Spec:-
- Mk1 Fiesta 1300S replica, Signal Green (although the colour is debatable)
- 1.1 engine (currently away getting rebuilt, piston rings were f**ked to say the least)
- now lowered 50mm at the front, unsure how low the rear is (supposedly 50mm)
- 2 sparco bucket seats and luke 4-point harnesses (still to fit the harnesses)
- stereo removed,all non-essential interior removed
- Performance alloys (minilite replicas)

Pics from the day I got it:-

I know its a ford but be gentle :P  there a few minor 'bad bits' on it but nothing I can't do, the shell is solid and never been welded (had 2 new front wings on it I was told tho). This is gona be my first road car since its still MOT'd and also so that I can tidy up my chevette over the winter months....in hope the shuv-it will be out for next summer :)

please let me know what you think of it :D good or bad, all comments welcome...

Cheers

there been a few people said "why did you buy it, the colour makes me sick" but I think it just appeals to me :) and its supposedly a factory colour for mk2 escorts (like I said before its debatable tho) 8)

also the previous owner was trying to make it look like my brothers mk2 escort (hence the sunstrip, colour etc) :? maybe thats why I bought it

I really like the colour, what a great little car. Always had a soft spot for mk1 Fiestas, and that mk2 Scort looks superb as well.

Great to see it on the forum, keep us updated with your progress!

Considering its a fwd Ford I like it too. Liking the wheels and the little chin spoiler thing Image

Cheers Ralph :D

I love the wheels, they are only 5.5"x13, as for the chin spoiler, its a bit of a homemade effort from an old XR2/supersport kit, it looks fine but they could have made a better job with little effort

anyway, I could go on to talk about it all day

oh, I've to call my engine builder tonight, hopefully he has some good news for me :)

still no news on the engine, he was just finishing stripping it down when I called him.

**Small Update**

I got a rear rollcage for it on tuesday for £80 :D proper safety devices cage

and I've fitted a new rear spoiler (same as old one) because one of the bolts had broke so it was hanging off :?

hopefully get pics of the cage etc tonight :D

Cheers

The more I look at the pics, the more I like it. :)

That green color is great, looks even better next to your brother's car. Very unique and obnoxious, and thats a large part of it's appeal. Some people hate green on cars, not sure why.
