I can't work out how to do the 'XXX said' thing when you quote someone, or how to do the quotes within quotes thing. Anyone care to explain?

You click the quote thingy in the top right corner of the message you want to quote. :roll:

or cut and paste the bit you want to quote then click reply, hit the quote button top left center paste the bit you cut and then hit the quote top left center again to close the quote.

You then then space down and add you reply :?

Alternatively, use the square brackets [ ] to enclose the words quote="Whoever you want to quote", followed by what they said, and then square brackets again enclosing /quote. For example:

Doive the pyro nutter wrote:All of the above

....was written using the code

quote="Doive the pyro nutter"]All of the above[/quote]

I took off the first square bracket to make it display. Easy! Plus you can give it whatever title you like.

See, Mr Thicky was right - I was looking for a way of doing it with code, and completely missed the fact that there was a quote button on every post.

Doh!
