Harry, what did you use to play it other than Micro$cam WMP? I have Linux here, and all the best vids seem to come in .wmv format only, which is a tad annoying. Small price to pay really to avoid the scurge of Windows.

Used WMP - was thinking it was just an MS glitch, but tried Realplayer & no sound either.

Tried again today as others had got sound & WMP worked OK straight away, so may have been MS after all - 'puter had been restarted between times!

Can't help on players as I don't think I've got one that I know runs on Linux. I'll bet there's something freeware out there, though.

See, Micropi$h won't release the relevant codecs to allow their file format to be interpreted by the open source lads, as that would spoil their monopoly. After Sony's performance last week with the spyware stuff, I think all consumers should watch out! Big Brother doesn't stop at Smiley Blair.

Did anyone happen to see the grinning loon in the commons today being walked all over by David Cameron? Oh man, did I ever enjoy that. So sweet.
