I'm prepared to put up with a lot in this country, but this time things really have gone too far. Today is VSCC (Bob Gerrard Memorial Race Meeting) at Mallory day, the sunniest, happiest, most old-car-filled day of the year and it's chuffing raining. I could still go because officially they still run in the wet - but I wouldn't be able to take any good photos and would you run your £500,000 60's Grand Prix car in the wet? Me neither :?

when Lotus had their aniversary day it was precipitating extremely heavily.

all the old F1 cars ran including the turbo cars

wish i had taken a camera, the sight of the old pre-wing era gold leaf lotus coming over a rise in the track with the 2 rooster tails of spray was very evocotive
