Dashboard Lighting

Postby offabroadway » 24 Feb 2005, 07:09

Is there wiring in the Chevette for lighting up the speedo/gasguage cluster and the temp controls? Because neither want to light up at night for me, which makes driving at night a guessing game. Thanks.

After I hit a deer with my Acadian, the dash lights don't always come on with the headlights, now and then I have to wiggle the headlight knob to get them to come on... That's another thing, twisting the headlight knob is the brightness control for the dash lights, and how to turn on the interior light (sorry if you knew this already but ...), see if they're just all the way dimmed?

If that begets nothing, check your fuesebox, they're labeled, maybe there's something for dash lights... I don't think ALL the bulbs would have blown, I've only ever had one go in the four Chevettes/Acadians I've had over the last decade...

don't your non-chevetter friends look at you funny for smacking your car to get the dash lights to turn on? :)
