Rear foglight?

Postby topi » 21 Jun 2007, 22:40

Do I need a rear fog on my '78 Kadett (for MOT)? I don't think it had one as standard.

No. They've only been a requirement since 1980. However, if there is one fitted, it must work and conform to the requirements on position, warning light etc.

Is this about the 3rd low mounted red light I see in various pictures?

That's the one yep. Most cars from the early 80s, and modern day imports, tend to have one mounted on the body/bumper below the bumper line. Moderns mostly have them designed into the rear light clusters these days.
