HS temp sender for XE conversion ?

Postby bones » 09 Jan 2007, 19:41

Hi there, Can you still get temp senders for the HS 2.3 engines? I have finally got round to wiring my chevette up and the XE temp sender is either broken or is the wrong type for the clocks, has anyone else had similar problems ?

Answering my own question here.
I managed to find a 2.3 sender which is three times the size of an XE sender, and after welding, machining and tapping a new thread for the sender I then thought I would do a test on the senders( should have tested first !) Then went on to find out the senders send the same temp reading and the reason for the search for a HS sender was that I had an air lock in the engine hence no temp reading.

Good thing is that you got it all sorted.
