Hi Guys
Went to have a look at a chevette this morning 1982 x reg for the project (took a pic but dont no how to load it up)its very straight low miles BUT! the near side front wing is gone by the headlight and on top edge buy the bonnett and on the near side rear wheel arch other than that no other rust,no t&t wants £400 will take £250 but before i go any further can you still get new steel front wings?and do you have to trim of some of the arch when fitting the group 4 kit? HELP

if you're going for a GP4 kit, why not go the whole hog and have some fibreglass wings fitted?
when all else fails, rivets, cable ties and bodge tape will see you through

Sounds like a good plan. Tim at TJ Motorsport does the fibreglass front wings and the GP4 kit as well. Occasionally a set of steel wings do come up on the bay, but only occasionally so you may be waiting a while. 400 is a bit steep, especially if the front wing is gone. I'd go for closer to 200.

Andy, is this any good to you? Bit pricey mind, but might just be what you're after.

Are they really worth 50 quid?!!! Boy o boy did I do a good deal when I bought one in slightly better nick than that for a tenner on Saturday. I almost fell guilty! :? Btw I notice there is a matching n/s wing sitting next to it in the photo but the guy doesn't seem to be selling it. Might be worth asking about it.

I think I recall these being on the old bay before, he must have sold the other wing to some poor sap for 50 quid. It does seem a little extortionate, I hadn't really noticed the price to be honest! I just remembered someone here was after a wing, so I put two and two together. Get in touch with the seller and see if he would start the bidding a little lower.

Some seriously obscure stuff he was selling - chevette wings and a winnie the pooh nursery set? Can't get much different than that! Its possible I suppose that the wing he is selling is one of the orginal set, which for some reason the buyer didn't take? Same picture anyway I think.

Did you find out how much it would cost to have the moulds copied or just to make the arches?

cheers
