am reassembling my hs after a complete body rebuild and have come across a 2in soft rubber tube.I know it fits somewhere under the dash bord but where.I have scaned through the haynes manual and a genuine opel manual(on the kadette c) but cannot see it anywhere.Can anyone help

at a complete guess, the only tube i can think of is more plastic than rubber, but one of the tubes that fits onto one of the heater fan outlets? Perhaps it joins onto the air outlet for vent coming out of the top of the dash to the windscreen? Again, sorry it's just a guess, someone might know something definite!

Is it two inches long or two inches in diameter? If its only that long then I have no idea - a cover for the speedo cable drive? Two inches diameter I would agree with what Tim said, part of the heating vent system somewhere along the way. Again, a guess!

sorry I was not more exact with the description,The tube is 2ins long and about 1\2 ins in diametre.it is made of very soft rubber.I dismantled 2 cars 2 years ago and bagged all the various parts seperately and this tube was in both cars under the dash?
