flushed 2 frenched????

is it possible 2 convert a flush h/lamp chevette to a frenched in one if you have all the parts, i.e if you have a frenched doner car.

    IIRC, you'll need to open up the front bulkhead opening a little so the rear of the shell has clearance - I looked at doing this but was able to source a replacement light - plus I also prefer the look of the earlier lights.

    If I remember rightly frenching is where you let something into the panel so it is flush with the level of the surrounding panel.

    Tunneling is where you recess it below the surrounding panel level.

    Therefore frenched and flushed are the same.

    i was chatting about the early one's (frenched in ie recessed into the panel) going into a late one (flush ie flush with the body).
    done it was a piece of p~ss. jus gotta make the mounting hole bigger and the mountin pkate bolts into original holes.
