gap fitting wing

Postby Wyke » 08 Apr 2007, 23:07

Fitting a wing on 1256 1975hatch - thought it was going OK until view from front shows a larger gap between bonnet and wing on one side compared to ther. Pretty obvious !!
Anyone any ideas about how to get rid of difference or reduce ?

File the holes in the wing to an oval shape, allowing the wing to fit nearer the bonnet. :?:

Check the bonnet is square at the back, first, then check the diagonals in case the chassis/body is tweaked one way. If they're OK, then slot the mounting holes.
