rear bumpers

Postby Daniel B » 16 Jul 2005, 12:50

Hi there, I have a saloon chevette L and it is indeperate need of a new rear bumper. I might be able to get one off a Chap on Ebay, but His car is a hatchback, does anybody know if these bumpers are the same or will i need to look elsewhere?

I think all bumpers are the same and are interchangeable between saloon and hatch. Tim, if Daniel doesn't want your bumper I'll have it!

I have a great collection of bent, twisted and rust holed bumpers from both ends.

I also have a couple on there way to me and a couple of spanking new ones too. The ones on the car are passable.

Did you know that the Kadett ones are the same shape and have the mounting holes in the same plece. They only differ in that the fog light attachment holes are in slightly diffrent places and the numbers are less too.

One thing to note though is that the Kadett rear bumpers will fit the Estate and Chevanne as they have the numberplate light hole cut into the top of the bumper.

Rear Bumpers

Postby Daniel B » 17 Jul 2005, 11:13

Hi TJM,

Thanks for the offer, £20 plus post and packaging was exactly what I'd offered the chap on ebay. Since i now know it'll fit it's only fair I wait and see if he's willing to sell it to me, but failing that I'm definitely interested.

I ought to know by tomorrow one way or the other so I'll post again tomorrow evening, do I just email the sales address on your website?

thanks

Daniel
