The picture has to be on webspace somewhere. Then all you have to do is type the following:

"img http://www.imagelocation.com/imagename.jpg /img"

but without the speech marks, and write img and /img with square brackets around them like [this]. I couldn't do that as it tries to display my non-existant image. This should produce the image for you.

Yes, but my version clearly shows the structure of the url. Stick.

If the image is contained in your pictures, email it to Ralph and he will be able to host it for you. I can't access my webspace as my computer has gone belly up.

You know I think we ought to give up both editing and replying to this. It's getting very confusing!!!

I wouldn't like to guess what we get called!

If you mean individually, I'm Dave, shellysowner is Ralph, hsr2.6 is Steve and nobody else has replied. Why does nobody want to put their real names in their profiles??

So where are these chevettes then? Wot condition? It's a rarity to have 1 chevette in your local scrappie but 2... well that's nothing short of a miracle!

chevette

Postby sparky1970 » 13 Apr 2005, 23:52

No there were 2 like new suspension top mounts on the chevette ,
the estate didn't look that bad , but the man at the scrap yard said it has been there for about 5 month's ,
It was nearly complete , if i had the space i would have got the full car just for spare's , if not for me then for anyone else who needed a few bit's.
car is at J W FURBERS , CORRINGHAM ( maybe HEAPHAM ) , NEAR GAINSBROUGH.
I was over the moon .
I ment to say LOW AND BEHOLD .

going to have a look at exhaust tomorrow afternoon.

many thanks

 you broke a chevette estate............

not even us rallyslags would stoop that low. I've never even seen one they are that rare.

Mind you, not your fault, it was only going to be cubed anyway!

did the estates have turreted rear suspension.......... (well it's been broken already now :P )

Now then Tim, suspension arms is one thing but shells is another..... although breakers won't let shells out of the yard again once they've gone in so I guess it's fair enough.

Poor little estate.....

I think its silly that European regs don't allow a scrappy to sell on an entire shell. Apprently it's better for the environment to cube the car and expend loads of energy and resources refining the metal back into a useable form, rather than take it out and restore it. Madness. The idiots in the suits know best though. Tim, on the subject of the turrets I do believe the estate had vertical rear suspension dampers. Also, because the shell can't be saved, I just wanted you to know that you have my blessing to cut the turrets out of the shell..... as much as it pains me. May as well make use of the bits. Don't let it die in vain.
