custom propshaft

I've got a contact who owes a mate a favour who makes reliable quality props. He can do me one on the cheap by the looks of things.

Can somebody tell me the exact dimensions / specifications for the prop that is needed to go between a manta A axle and a manta B 1800 gearbox?

i can but ask!

*update* okay, it looks like th emore I can get made the cheaper each will be as most of the work is setting up the machien for the dimensions. Still havent got the okay from the guy yet but let me give you a little background. He does all sorts of motorsport and always makes his own props as they are stronger than the standards. He comes highly recommended to me by a close friend and i trust him.

no idea on price yet, but I need to know the dimensions before I can have a chat with him

So far on my list of people who want one is:

me
andy

any other takers if the price is right? milko?

Yeah, I'm in, but dont you need to supply him with the ends for the prop?
The place I spoke to said they need each end and then will just measure it up?
But yeah I'm in, place I spoke to quoted £80-100......

To produce a modified prop you need a prop to modify in the 1st place.
Those who are running a manta gearbox and manta B axle need to supply a manta B prop to be shortened.
Those with a Manta B box and "A" axle need both A and B props to be shortened and joined together.
Unfortunatly I have no idea about dimensions or whether A to B and B to B are the same length!

 i've got to find a manta A prop!?

So, hmm, 50 quid for a manta A prop, if i can find one, 25 quid for a manta B prop, and then 100 quid to get one custom built? Well that's gonna put the conversion back by about 12 months then until i'm actually working to earn real money. GRRR

back to looking for the manta auto prop it is then!
