Manta 'B' axle fitment

i've searched the forum but have not had any satisfying answers so, does anyone know how to fit a Manta 'B' axle to the Chevette and would they be willing to write a comprehensive guide on how to do it......please.
just a few things though -
1 - i'd like to use coilovers if i can get them.
2 - i don't want to shorten the axle.
3 - i'd like to do away with the torque tube.

fitting is the same as for an a series axle:

for coil overs you will need a stronger turret capable of taking the loads, like an escort. shortening the axle would be a bit expensive anyway.

torque tube. at present there is still no definative answer, my next step will be to find a drive flange to fit the pinion, thoughs are it could be the flange off the end of the current tube.

Can you point me in the right direction, as I have just bought an A series Manta Axle

thanks for the reply Peter but would double skinned saloon turrets be sufficient do you think?
i need to find an engineering job quick cos the "foreigners/developments" are building up fast and i can't do them

try this thread or look in the Sportpart manual.

with my engineers hat on i'd have to say no.
mainly because you need enough space to get the spring top in the turret.
secondly the method of securing the damper top is not really good enough to control spring forces as well (though a mini rr coil over conversion does use the standard fitting)

Dom do a search on the site, it is in here somewhere. it involves moving damper mounts and possibly panhard rod mounts but sonce mine came fitted i haven't taken a lot of notice.
