uprated oil pump?

Postby ross.cheeks » 14 Sep 2009, 11:43

just bought an oil pump, and its just turned up and on the box it says

'OP 14 B - OIL PUMP - BEDFORD/VAUXHALL VIVA - CENTRE DRIVE, UPRATED'

does that mean that its the uprated one that the sport part manual talks about or just something else?

I don't know, but I would be interested to find out as I too have one of those.

I would expect it to be a stock pump with a slightly stronger relief spring.

Only the very early Chevettes were offset - most were centre drive.
