Auto-gearboxes on the Vauxalls?

Postby CancerWagon » 10 Oct 2007, 07:23

When placing the '84 drivetrain into the '78, I noticed the tag on the gearbox said it was made in France. So I've been curious since then if the 1256 engines had the same automatic gearboxes.

The auto boxes on the NA cars were a THM 180 ("turbo hydramatic 180") and on the diesels were a THM 200 because the TV cable (throttle variance) control requirement in leu of a vacuum modulator & detent cable.
