i just wouldn't have the faintest idea,i don't have a manual(makes mental note to get one).Seems likely, but is the 1.3 block the same as the 1.2 block.otherwise they may have made an vauxhall gearbox for the english market.

The blocks aren't the same, and I'm not sure if they share the same bellhousing bolt alignment. It would make sense to use the same gearbox, but that doesn't seem to have happened for any of the rest of the Chevette/Kadett running gear.

guess i'll have to keep looking then. You'd think they'd save money and use the same parts thus molds for the whole world.would also make it easier for us:) .Is the 1.3 a cross flow head or the same as the 1.2 head??tuning wise rather useless.

No it's not a cross flow, the carb sits above the exhaust manifold.

I might have had one of your old `uns though....a blue 4 door saloon.
I had it given by a student guy who lived in Wrenthorpe. He used it to go to MCR Uni. When it `died` he gave it me!.......I scrapped it !! :P
