ok im gonna put a v8 in a 79 chevette but would a roll cage help from the car twisting the car.

i would think a full frame would, sort of a space frame inside the original chassis ie along the roof, floor, doors etc

gussets
gussets around the suspension, tranny tunnel, anywhere you would expect extra stress

with the torque from a v8 your shell is going to twist if the engine has any sort of power at all the shell won't last long without a cage if your going to race it at all i would recomend at least a 6 point cage with door bars
