My family owns 2 chevettes that run and 2 parts cars and i just wanna know whats the easiest cheapest way to hop em up.

1986 red auto 2 door chevette
1987 white auto 4 door chevette

they really need to breath better.

Headers and a bigger exhaust first. I couldn't believe how much better mine ran when the O2 sensor blew out and reduced the exhaust back pressure!

You could have the exhaust manifold acid dipped to open it up some. It's an old pure stock racing trick, works too. Pull the head and mill off 0.010" for additional compression.

A 5 speed from a S10 pickup helps too with the better gearing.
