Postby Shoveitpusher » 01 Jun 2005, 12:57

my replacement shell was picked up on friday. should be finished in a month.

so another standard shell is being rent assunder to make a rally car.

i'll sort out some pictures when it's done.

rear arches were new, front wings new, guy i got it from had fully repaired it, funnily enough except for the bits i need to cut out for the exhaust and pedal box.

manta recaro interior (sold before anyone asks), including rear seat, minilite replica wheels, so no, it wasn't a bad shell.

i can hear the plasma cutter burning metal away as i type.

but remember this car will live for a lot longer (unless i wrap it round a tree - then i'll have to find another shell to lovingly 'restore') so it's for the best.
