Loving that Kadett! Wish mine looked that good. Is it standard or have you done anything to it?

Mk3 panel van??? That must be a rare bird! Like the stance of your saloon too and that is definitely a good colour for a kadett hatch.

I reckon the panel van is a modified estate as I don't remember there ever being a cortina van! In South Africa they built a mk3 cortina pick up, someone in the UK has a 2.9 V6 Cosworth version they imported and modified. That saloon looks trick, just slightly worried what you're going to do to the otherwise very tidy Kadett!!

the van is indeed a modified estate 8) the car was a 2.0XL estate its had the doors and centre pillar removed and replaced with the whole side from a 2 door saloon to give the longer doors and correct body line engine bay is fully custom built as is the front and rear bumpers (now blended into the body)the body is also sectioned 1" over the floor and lowered 3" on fully adjustable suspension it shold be close to being complete around may at moment i'm building the dash and centre consul :)
the v8 corty is also off the road as i about to start on building a new space frame prostreet chassis with a tubbed rear and ford 9" axle and the v8 is haveing some more perfomance bits added and the box will be getting a freshen up aswell
the kadett is my daily driver at the mo but as soon as the van is done and i've painted my wifes car it will be gettting a bit of a liven up not decided what i'm gona do with it yet   8)

there are lots of cosworth 24valve v6 converted cortys about now but i don't actully like the engine i think its very over rated i much prefer the 12 valve version as it much more tunable and reliable 8)

I would seriously recommend Retro Cars - they would almost definitely do a feature for you! If not the van, then drop a few pics of the V8 to them. Once you have gained fame and fortune from those, you could sell the Kadett to me and buy another Cortina for your next project

I just noticed the retro cars sticker on the Kadett's heater box, so I'm guessing you are a reader then?! Where did you get the sticker, cos I want one. Not sure if mine would qualify for 'retro' status as it's completely standard.

[sorry to steal yuor thread but...]

back when retrocars was Cars and Car Conversions, I had my lovely chevette in there as a single page spread. Covered her in CCC stickers (i mean about 100 of them) at one of their track days and they loved her, cooed over her all day!

[you can have your thread back now!]

I'm a magazine junkie. Practical Classics, Classics, Retro cars and now Practical Performance Car. The whole PC editorial team seemed to leave progressively to form PPC, making it a very funny magazine in the process. Ah well, they keep me entertained every evening before I get to sleep.
