Loving the Firenza, don't see enough of them on the roads these days.

The Kadett looks like a nice project. Good to have a local Kadett owner!

Can I be honest and I say I really don't like those mirrors? :?

IMHO you want something a bit more retro-looking, personally I'd say chrome ones would look cool 8)

you can be as honest as you like ! (i'm from newcastle = very thick skin...... )

yeah i'm still not 100% on them myself ,i saw them on a couple of german kadetts and thought i'd give them a go but tbh they do look a tad on the large side...might go back to the original plan of bullet mirrors, whatever i decide i'll have to make my mind up before i get it painted.

Your neighbors would likely take a swing at me criket bat... sometimes have 30 minute rust removal sessions

I'm definitely with shellysowner, thoes mirrors do not suit the car at all. I could send you a pair like the ones seen here if you were so inclined. :) I've got a spare set.

the mirrors are not so ugly, if they are fitted a bit lower, like here:

and i think your white bonnet is from the later Kadett c after the facelift!

you're quite right,it is :) the original bonnet was really rotten so i thought i'd take the later one cos i tried for ages and coulcn't find a decent early one...

and yeah , those pics of the kadetts with the engelmann style mirrors are the reason i fancied trying a pair to see what they'd look like . when i mocked it up on my car i used the original door mirror holes so i realised if i was gonna fit them i'dhave to mount them a bit lower down as per your pic ...
