Hey guys,

I need some help deciding the long term plan for the car, im keeping mechanics same (insurance ... well maybe the odd cheeky mod lol) bar lowering and uprated brakes. But, im not sure what colour i should eventually choose. also any ideas for the interior? go wild! im up for any opinions! :D :D

cheers!

I'm patrial to any sort of grey on black color combinations... are you re-covering the entire interior?

Every panel, seat and carpets! My dads girlfriend used to make wedding dresses so I've roped her into doing it :P
I was thinking of a black and white theme, Im also liking the idea of a racing check strip around the interior. Havnt been able to find anyone that sells it printed on vinyl yet though.

Black and grey sound cool, kinda like the A-Team van but without the red slash?

Thats the school of thought :D Be careful to have a distinct pattern though, or you may get compared to the a-team on a regualr basis.

Good contrast without tackyness.

I think you should spray it satin red and have lots of black and white checked detail, like the interior, the rear drums... even the firewall.

At first glance I thought 'that's henna red. They didn't do henna red on a 77?!' Red oxide primer does a very good henna red impersonation so I've found.

The doors seem to be a very nice deep blue/navy colour on the inside, I think that would suit the Chevette shape nicely. Something dark and metallic would look fantastic.

Glad to see that car went to a good home. I nearly bought it back along just for the fibreglass wings but my phone rang and I missed the auction end!

It had a lammy screen too didnt it if I remember?

Keep up the good work, all looks good so far.

No lammy screen :( didnt realy miss much with the wings, theres a few chips and cracks, salvagable though.
