Just so you all hear it from me personally, yes the car is on lowered suspension. I had hoped it would have been lower than it is when i built the car. I did make a mistake when ordering the suspension but my mistake shouldn't effect the ride height. I am hoping to change the suspension again this year if i can but will have to wait and see. The biggest problem i have with it is that the sits quite low underneath so at the most i'll only be able to drop it another 1 or 2 inches at the most.

just wondering what engine you have and what time you ran up the strip?

It's got a 2litre Ford pinto, on Weber 45's. Due alot of work in next few months ready for the summer. And since the work i've done i haven't had the chance for a Santa Pod run yet. I would guess at the moment maybe a high 15 or 16 second run. I'm aiming for 14secs really, will have to wait and see. 13 secs is possible, but expensive i think.

Didn't realise it was a TWO door, until now! Sweet score!
I like the colour but, TBH, the wheel/tyre/lowering package is not my thing.
6-7x14s with 205/50 tyres at about that ride height would be my choice, if I could keep them within the arches. But then we're all different, aren't we 8)

Been looking for a two door down here, off and on, but I think it must be a good 15 years since I've seen one. How (un)common are they in the UK?

Chevettes in order of rarity in the UK

Common 1. Hatch
2. 4 door saloon
3. 2 door saloon
4. 3 door estate
Uncommon 5. 3 door van

Yep, i did, and i ran 16.8. Not bad for the first time, had hoped for better, but with a longer warm up and a bit more practice i could have knocked maybe up to another 0.5sec off the time. Might give it another go in a few weeks.
