kool pics 8)

I was thinking of putting a rev counter in but taking out the temp and fuel gause on the right and getting new smaller dials mounted where you have the rev counter now? any ideas if that would work?

or something like this? its supposedly a Nova SR instument panel, took the pic from chevetteownersgroup.co.uk

that is indeed a nova unit, MKI, either an SR or a GTE?

in answer to your first question - yes

my aux gauges are in that hole, fuel, oil press, temp and something else i can't remember, easy to see for both driver and co-driver. i have a big red ignition light under the light switch which also doubles as the starter button.

you can fit a lotus elise dash in there with very little fuss, just needs a proximity sensor and a toothed wheel for the speedo. took mine out as the rev counter was a bit flakey and i wanted to keep in period.

quite like the nova setup though

It's looking good Steve. As an aside, unless I'm very much mistaken, are those the indicator/sidelight units from a Triumph Dolomite?

In that case, as Murray Walker once said 'I am very much mistaken!'

They do look a bit like these ones though - that's probably what got me thinking.

not going too well at the mo,bought the 1.8 put it in and after a fortnight of messing with the timing got it as sweet as a nut and then the oil pump went no pressure equals one f###ed engine,so put the head and cam on my 2.0 and low and behold that one is f###ed as well not a happy bunny............

Hello

Thought the heads, locating dowls were different on the 1.8 to 2.0 head?
Can i ask what engine cross member rubber mounts your using to locate the engine on?

thanks
