It Dark Metalic Green actually, but you are right the headlights are painted black on the inside.

When they were silver they just looked way outa place so I stripped them down and made a good set out of all the bits I had kicking about making sure to put Cibie glass with Cibie refletors.

The cases I painted black and then re assembled the lot sticking the glass back on with black silicone sealant.

Well, I think they look good and it stops it looking as if it eyes are poping out. The Light metalic blue one on the other hand look ok with the standard units.

Wow Mark, I am very envious, specifically on three counts:

1) You own three Chevettes, including possibly one of the cleanest in the country,

2) You have sufficient space to keep said three chevettes, and

3) If you bought an old GM forecourt sign you could pretend to be a Vauxhall garge circa 1984.

All very nice, I have to say the headlights on SYB look fantastic, very subtle mod that I did notice but couldn't quite put my finger on. May do the same to mine if I am ever bored or at a loose end, but then the flush lights look fine on an orange car.

i think the light green'un looks lovely. oddly enough mine does have bodge tape just there! but it has doors on it!
when all else fails, rivets, cable ties and bodge tape will see you through
