Welcome to the forum - rust in all the usual places there I see - oh dear. Have to say I've always been a fan of those sportspack arches.

Hey :)

Jifop - Your Dad's mini is a stunner! Really nice - yet simple :)

Shellysowner - Yep Rust in all the usual places - but it now has virtually no rust - and only 3 more panels to put on!
I won't be putting the sportsblob arches back on - have been given some Grp6's to put on for the time being until I get my Miglias

Mini`s are great little cars, I spent a few years Grasstracking them!
I`ve also owed a 1970 Cooper `S`, a `76 1100 & a Clubman Estate.

Every one should have to have owed a Mini....by law! :)

I guess in standard form they are a bit scary - but once you've gotten over the initial fear I think you just take it as it comes!

i really like the mini, i can see their appeal, but it's a nightmare these days trying to get one that isnt rotten through. even th eones that look like decent shells are usually rotten somewhere!

nice looking car, i hope the rebuild goes well and welcome to the forum!

ps - wilson where do you find these magical women that like cars? rarer than fairies. almost as rare as HS rear axles complete with LSD.
when all else fails, rivets, cable ties and bodge tape will see you through

I love my cars more than life sometimes

I'm considering a 10" break setup at the moment - I need to raise about £125 more tho  Anyone feel free to lend it to me :D

...even if the only thing achieved is that they gain an appreciation for how much space there is round the engine in most other cars!

My mini was cracking fun to own - bit gutless but it was only a 998 with a kinda 'stage 1/2' kit (insurance don't like mods when you're young), I drove it all over the place, on holidays with 3 of us and all our gear, across fields, all sorts of stuff but I have to say it wasn't fantastic on the motorway or over speedbumps... not that that stopped me doing motorway driving in it. I just did it less comfortably! Oh yeah, the standard seats were rubbish too - I put fiesta seats in.

I have some Cobra buckets for mine - that Wilson kindly bought me for Christmas 8)

The standard seats in mine where grey/brown and hideous - the springs had gone and they had stains all over them
