I see a red 4 door parked down the road from me occasionly, when ever I get round to going and having a look though it's gone, I think they must keep it in the garage. Where was the red four door you saw Shellysowner? This one was in Swaythling.

No, Portswood- it used to live just round the corner from me, but now it's moved to a house on Lodge Road.

No, it's just that I go up and down Lodge Road a fair bit - I don't recall there ever being any stalking :?

It's a very nice 4 door saloon as well, had a bit of a sniff round it the other night when we went past it. Has a few unusual features for an 'E' if I remember correctly.

Also spotted a yellow recessed light hatch on an S plate the other day driving through Hove on its way to Brighton. Very tidy looking, I believe it was an L. So I have seen more chevettes in the last three days than I have in the last ten years!

saw a 2 door saloon a little while a go. didn't catch year, colour etc. was doing about 90 down the A13 at nite and thought 'i reconise those rear lights'. then as i overtook it, i was was like ' ae a chevette' and i was gone. must have scared the living daylights ( eventho it was dark) out of the driver, looked as though it was an old driver 1 owner from new cos it muct have only going bout 40.

then a couple of weeks later i saw a burnt orange hatch and that was an old person. as i was going into a multi story in basildon they were coming down and there i was waving and flashing my lights and they were totally ablivious to me.

Well there's a black 'Silhouette' that belongs to a bloke who shops in morrisons - you'll probably see that eventually, plus there's the henna red 4dr that lives on Lodge road like I said. You're not tall with long-ish hair are you? I reckon I probably walked past you stacking a shelf earlier.

No I don't mean henna red, that was a slip of the keyboard - it's the other shade of red and yes I did take you to see it.

Ah! Right. That sort of brighter red that is actually red, as opposed to henna red that is actually orange, but that most colourblind MoT testers invariably describe as brown. I remember the car now - you have my sincerest apologies.

 That was a good guess. Did you just wonder round looking for people who looked like Chevette drivers? There i another guy with longish blond hair though, he would have been wearing a red apron unlike my blue one though.

Thinking about it I did once see a Chevette at Morrisons, but that was at least a year ago when I was weighing up between a 309 GTi and a Chevette. I made the right choice this time ;) .

Well I thought I'd play a little game while I was shopping and try to guess which guy was a chevette owner... sounds like I was right :D

I saw saw the black silhouette today. No pictures I'm afraid, I was already 10mins late back from my lunch break. It's looked quite tidy though.

Came home lunchtime to find a rather battered metallic brown R plate 4 dr sal outside. As I left an old boy and his wife were getting into it - my guess they'd had it from new.

Passed a tidy looking orange 4-door saloon on Thorney Leys in Witney this morning- even remembered the reg no..... JAM 69W. Wonder which is worth more?

Errr.... It's where I live so I shall be down there again and again and again and.....

Unfortunately we were going in opposite directions at closing speed of 80mph and I was driving alone, so a camera wouldn't have helped.
