vette in transport museum

Postby jifop » 20 Jun 2005, 17:57

we have a small transport museam near where i live in a place called lower stondon, to my suprise no beetles to be seen however there was one chevette! unfortunately a rather horrible 4 door saloon with rusty wheel, no wing mirror and a bent front wing.
but better than none

think i am going to try and get a wing mirror for it and some vauxhall hubcaps.
Before you say anything..... no i cant spell or type!

The post above is my own personal opinion, it is not meant to upset or cause offence, if it does bugger off.

I have a set of hubcaps I can donate to the needy cause. They are gathering dust in the wardrobe and I would be willing to send them for cost of postage if you are interested.

Sorry to hijack- I went to an awesome car museum in New Zealand, me and the wife were happily trundling around in there when we realised we'd been in there for 4 hours!
Don't remember there being a Chevette in there though. Mind you, the whole of NZ is like an open air car musueum!

I'll keep my ear to the ground for a mirror Tim, or rather eyes to the scrapyard.

From what I've heard you're right Charlie, NZ is like an open air car museum and they get plenty of cool yanks and the Holden and Ford derivatives of them too.... still we've got lots of rusting BL cars so....
