Got the full set now!!

Postby Shuvit-pinto » 07 Oct 2005, 21:20

Yeehaaaa

I now have the full set of running gear from the Piazza. Just bought another Piazza with an axle and both propshafts. .

So I now have the 2.0i Turbo engine, front cross member, manual 5 speed box, 2 props, the rear axle and a full set of the Lotus tuned suspension.

Just got to figure out how to shoe horn it all into the diminutive lil Chevette now. Bound to have to mod the props as the wheel base is 2" longer on the Piazza and the gear stick hole is 2" further back on the Piazza too.

Not sure whether to fit the air con or the power steering though???

Why do you need to know that :)

It could be

But then why would I need 2 cars :?:

One thing I am not sure about is if my nice sparkly wheels I have on my Chevette at the mo will fit over the discs and callipers :!: :!: :!: .

you need a minimum of 14" rims to clear the piazza disks and calipers 8)

Ar$e  thought that would be the case.

I love those wheels I have at the mo. Could get some modern ones but that will not be the same.

Option 2 is to put cav / Manta discs on the front and drums on the back which would mean reverting back to plan A of the Mant A axle.

Oh BU66ER decisions, decisions.

Andy, what sorta power will the XE be chucking out then??

well im hoping for about 180-200 bhp when i get my bike carbs on with some nice fast road cams or something like that.

Ive just fitted my astra gte brakes to my chevette and they clear my 13 inch wheels check my thread.

well if you do want to get rid of the piazza axle then ill prob have it off of you as that was what i was gonna be buying the car for!
