Anyone going to Billing this year?
Think I'll give it a go in the Estate.
Can't remember is it ticketed or just turn up and pay?
Do you have to be in a club?

There will be a COG ( Chevette Owners Group) stand there. Think they said they have 17 booked for the event. Got my tickets in advance. I have 2 tickets. If Dad cant make it I will have one spare.

I will be travelling up on Sat night or very early Sunday morning from Westbury in Wiltshire if anyone wants to convoy up there.

OK, so I now have my two passes from COG today.

Dad now can not make it so I have a spare one if anyone in the Wiltshire area is going up on Sat evening?

Let me know and I can meet you on route or post it to you for the cost price + P+P.

If you're camping and don't have a show pass it'll cost £15 per night per tent. However if you have a show pass it's only £10 per night per tent. I don't know how much it is just for a day's entry though.

I think some of the clubs have made a push this year as the show has been gradually getting worse over the years. I know that the Cavalier & Chevette Owners Club have allocated all 25 of their show car tickets this year.

I just hope the security's a bit more low-key compared to the half-wits last year who seemed to think they were auditioning for The Bill
Anyone have a 6R4 for sale? Unfortunately I've only got £1K spare but I could throw in a few eggs to sweeten the deal!

Not a bad event if a ttle quieter this year what with the weather.

Great to briefly meet Harry and had a good long chat with Herbie who now has shares in ASDA (?) with all that water he bought. Hope you had a trouble free trip home mate.

The Cog stand was blessed with ( Sunday ) 1 Auto GL Hatch Herbies, 1 Pinto powered 2 door Saloon, 2 standard 2 door saloons, 1 HS, 1 modded hatch, 1 GL hatch Yellow, 2 hatch L's, 1 Estate, 1 Chevanne.

Had a great trip up and back but really must stop the bugger from pinking. Put some 97 oct fuel in and its a tad better so with the octane booster it should stop. If I was to put in 100LL fuel it will not be a prob

Roll on next year when SYBil will be just a bit more get up and go.

Good to see you Mark, meant to get back later but the day got away from me a bit!

Hi Harry.

Never mind we will meet up sometime I expect. Will give the 99 0ct and the VSP a go, thanks.

Mint was suposed to follow me back but I managed to get a bit to far ahaed and then took a wrong turn. Waited for him but got a text saying he had gone back to the A whatever.

Worrying thing is he had a broken engine mount rubber on the drivers side and a very sloppy flexy joint on his steering rack. Thats the reason he was suposed to follow me. Phoned his Dad and Mint was still not back at 9pm, we both left Billing at 6pm.

Hope he is OK and shacked up at his Girlfiends house as Dad mentioned. Mobile is not connecting either. :?

Herbie.

Great lil car that, very tidy. I wonder what the over heating prob could be. I would double check the stat and the gear box oil/temps ( auto) just to see if auto box is generating to much heat from the friction plates and dumping the heat into the bottom of the rad where the transmission cooler is situated.

Sod, yeah.

I forgot to put the aerial up on mine too and had to listen to all the odd noises. Could not take any more so opened the window to drown it out occasionally.

Errr... well I don't really know any more - I just heard that the Billing site was being sold for housing and that this year would be the last VBOA. I'm not sure how much truth there is in the rumour :?
