The pics brought back happy memories of my childhood. my uncle owned an R reg(1977 I think) 4 door saloon, in a very light blue. I remember me and my sister fighting over whether or not to open the window rear and we broke the mechanism. It also had a coat hanger for an ariel. An under-rated classic

FANTASTIC site! I remember back in 1978 when I was in college and delivering pizzas for Domino's when our store in Marietta Ohio had the dubious honor of testing the Chevette Scooter as the official delivery vehical for the entire chain. Trust me....having a bunch of high school & college age kids abusing Chevettes for 8-10 hours a night 7 days a week was NOT a fair test of their sturdiness! Would LOVE to find one and paint it up just like we had them back 29 years ago.
